Free standing or Shopfitted
You might be wondering what the difference is between a shop that is shop fitted and one that is made up of free standing units. Essentially a full shop fit includes building work, especially on the perimeters where aluminium slots might be placed between plasterboard to provide the points where hanging rails can be inserted. You don’t have to do this though, perimeter boards can be hung from existing wall faces and do the same job.
Of course, as well as this, usage of gondolas (those units in the middle of the shop floor) are designed to be moved around to wherever it is required, these are the free standing units.
Free standing units don’t have to be boring boxes or white laminated chipboard, why not make them fun or tailored to your particular sector? they can have lighting built in to them, additional storage and any manner of materials included to maximise the impact.
